Cookie Policy

Waves Digital Consulting LLC

Last updated: June 2026

We want to be clear and transparent about how we use cookies and similar technologies on ask-mia.app (the “Services”). This Cookie Policy explains what technologies we use, why we use them, who else may use them in connection with our Services, and how you can control them.

This Cookie Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Services, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website operators. We also use similar technologies that function like cookies:

TechnologyHow it worksWhat we use it for
CookiesSmall files stored on your browser — either for the duration of your session (session cookies) or for a set period afterward (persistent cookies).Session management, security, and advertising measurement.
PixelsTiny invisible images embedded in a web page that send information to a server when the page loads.Measuring whether our advertising led someone to use the service.
Local storageData stored directly in your browser beyond a single session.Remembering your preferences and improving page performance.

2. How We Use These Technologies

The table below describes the specific purposes for which we use cookies and similar technologies on our Services.

PurposeDescription
Session securityWe use a session cookie to maintain the integrity of your conversation and protect against unauthorized access. This cookie is set when you begin a conversation and expires when your session ends or shortly after.
AttributionWhen you arrive at the Services via an advertisement or link, we store information about how you found us — such as campaign identifiers and click identifiers — to understand which of our marketing efforts are working. This information is stored in your browser for a limited period.
Advertising measurementWe use a third-party advertising measurement pixel that may set cookies on your browser. This allows us to understand, in aggregate, whether people who see our ads go on to use the service. The pixel does not give us or our advertising partners access to personally identifiable information beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
Preferences and performanceWe may store limited information in local storage to improve page performance and remember preferences such as your most recent interaction with the service.

3. Third-Party Technologies

Third-party advertising and measurement platforms may set cookies or use pixels in connection with the Services. These third parties use cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies, not this Cookie Policy. We do not control third-party cookies.

A list of our third-party sub-processors, which includes our advertising measurement partners, is available at ask-mia.app/legal/sub-processors.

Third-party cookies used in connection with advertising measurement may allow those platforms to recognize your browser across different websites for the purpose of measuring ad performance. They do not allow third parties to access the content of your conversations with Ask Mia.

4. Your Choices

Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can configure your browser to refuse all or certain cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being set. Please note that blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Services — for example, the session security cookie is necessary for the service to work correctly.

To learn how to manage cookies in your browser, consult the documentation provided by your browser manufacturer.

Opting out of advertising measurement

You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser settings, or through your advertising platform’s own opt-out tools. Opting out of advertising measurement does not prevent you from using the Services; it means that our advertising measurement partner will no longer use cookies to connect your visit to an ad impression.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals to websites. Because there is currently no common industry standard for how websites should respond to these signals, Ask Mia does not currently change its data practices in response to Do Not Track signals. We will continue to monitor developments in this area.

5. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at privacy@ask-mia.app.
